NP Plitvice lakes

National park Plitvice lakes consists of 16 naturally made lakes that are in the heart of Croatia. Plitvice lakes have been proclaimed as a Nature Park on 8th of April 1949 and are considered the biggest, oldest and most visited national park in Croatia. Its unique nature of beautiful lakes surrounded with untouched forests makes this a must visit place in Croatia.

NP Kornati

Kornati archipelago of Croatia, also known as the Stomorski islands, is in the northern part of Dalmatia, south from Zadar and west from Šibenik, in the Šibenik-Knin county. With 35 kilometres (22 miles) length and 89 islands, some large, some small, in a sea area of about 320 square kilometres (124 sq mi), the Kornati are the densest archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea.

From northwest to southeast (from the island of Balabra to Samograd), and from northeast to southwest (from Gangarol to Mana) they stretch for 13 km (8 miles). The name of the archipelago is the plural form of the name of the largest island, called Kornat.

Istra

Istria is the largest Croatian (and also the Adriatic) peninsula. It is located in the northern part of the Adriatic, on the territory of Slovenia, Croatia and Italy.

The geographical boundary of Istria goes along the line from the Milje bay (Muggia) to the Preluka bay. The western coast of Istria is shallower and more indented, while the east is steep and weaker inhabited. Istria is usually divided into three parts:

Red Istria (west coast) - where the red-brown country prevails (crest) Gray Istra (central Istria) - due to gray clayey soil White Istria (Učka slopes and the eastern part of the peninsula) - due to rocky soil

Slavonia region

Slavonia is the historical region in east Croatia. It is the biggest agricultural potential in Croatia with flat area that was once covered by sea.

Slavonia is popular for fishing, hunting and village tourism and is ideal for tourists who wish to spend their holidays in peace and relaxing atmosphere, far from urban area.
Biggest city in Slavonia is Osijek located at the Drava river. Osijek is the most interesting tourist destination with numerous parks, cultural heritage and leisure activities.

Zagreb

Zagreb is the capital and the biggest city in Croatia with more than 1.000.000 inhabitants. City was built by merging two historical parts of Zagreb called Gradec and Kaptol located in the heart of Zagreb.

It is located in the southwest part of Panonian lowland on 100 m above sea level, surrounded with hill Medvednica, mountain Sljeme and river Sava. Zagreb, located at the middle point between the Alps and Adriatic region, is considered as the bridge between Western and Southeast Europe, with predominant architecture similar to Vienna and Budapest.
